Atlas the Leafcutter Ant

img_insects_atlas.png

Name:

Atlas

Species:

Leafcutter Ant

Home:

The rainforest of Central America.

Likes:

Born to the role of forager in the leafcutter ant colony, Atlas is a true workaholic, but he loves a good back rub (on his three spines!) just as much.

Dislikes:

His Central American nickname, “Wee Wee,” which, by ant standards, doesn’t describe his huge frame at all.

Favorite Foods:

An eco-friendly vegan, Atlas only eats an organic fungus that grows on leaves. And he doesn’t let anyone forget it.

Biggest Dream:

Fungus for everyone! What, you’re still eating meat? In this day and age? Wow.

Unusual Party Trick:

Atlas can carry almost ten times his own weight—that's like a 200-pound weightlifter carrying a 2,000 pound car in the air! Whenever he does this, he reminds his friends that strength can be built through alternative protein sources. They roll their (many) eyes.

Favorite Quote:
